Standards & Protocols Matrix – Registry Placeholder Overview

Standards & Protocols Matrix – Registry Placeholder Overview

Status: Placeholder content for The Registry. This page exists so we can test navigation, tags, and layouts.
It will be replaced with a neutral, fully researched overview later.

The Standards & Protocols pillar in The Registry is where we will track the open standards, frameworks, and patterns that matter for agentic commerce.

We do not define these protocols. Instead, this space will eventually provide:

  • Short, neutral snapshots of key standards (for example: MCP, AGENTS.md, goose, ACP, ACK, AP2 and others)
  • Links to the canonical specifications, repos, and foundations that actually author and govern them
  • Clear explanations of where they show up in real commerce stacks
  • Comparisons and interoperability notes that help merchants, platforms, and infrastructure providers understand how these pieces fit together

What this page will cover later

When this placeholder is replaced, you can expect content such as:

  • A high-level map of the agentic standards landscape
  • Registry-style summaries of each protocol or framework
  • A simple “at a glance” view of who maintains what, and how it relates to agentic commerce
  • Pointers into the ACRI™ Readiness Index where each standard influences a readiness dimension

Why this placeholder exists now

Right now, this page is here so we can:

  • Exercise the standards-and-protocols pillar tag
  • Verify our Array theme homepage layout and tag cards
  • Create a safe anchor for internal testing that does not pretend to be an official spec

If you’re reading this in production, it simply means we’re still wiring up the Registry content.
The real Standards & Protocols Matrix is on the way.
